Valeris is seeking a VP, Affordability Solutions to lead the strategy, modernization, and growth of our affordability platform and financial access ecosystem.

This leader will own the affordability product portfolio across copay, PAP, reimbursement coordination, financial assistance workflows, and affordability optimization capabilities. The role is responsible for transforming legacy affordability operations into scalable, configurable, platform-driven solutions that improve patient access outcomes, operational efficiency, and reimbursement performance.

This is a strategic product and platform leadership role within Valeris’ Innovation team. You will work alongside engineering, operations, and product leaders to design and deliver the next generation of affordability capabilities; built for speed, scale, and measurable patient impact.

The ideal candidate understands both the operational complexity and financial dynamics of specialty patient affordability and can translate those workflows into scalable product capabilities while balancing client configurability, operational efficiency, and platform standardization.

Responsibilities

Product & Platform Strategy

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Valeris’ affordability solutions portfolio.
  • Lead the modernization of affordability workflows into reusable, scalable platform capabilities.
  • Partner with the Head of Innovation and executive leadership to align affordability platform investments with company strategy and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Help drive the company’s transition from fragmented affordability operations to configurable, platform-enabled solutions.

Affordability Workflow Ownership

  • Own affordability product capabilities including copay programs, PAP workflows, financial assistance coordination, benefit affordability workflows, offer optimization, accumulator and maximizer mitigation, payment workflows and reconciliation, and affordability operations modernization.
  • Improve workflow efficiency, reimbursement outcomes, and financial access coordination across specialty therapy programs.

Operational Orchestration & Platform Enablement

  • Build scalable operational workflows that support human and AI-augmented affordability operations.
  • Develop configurable capabilities that scale across manufacturers, therapy areas, and program types.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to improve workflow automation, interoperability, and operational scalability.
  • Support integrated patient access and affordability orchestration across the broader Valeris platform ecosystem.

Innovation Team Contribution

  • Serve as the product voice for affordability within the Innovation team, translating operational pain points into clearly defined product requirements.
  • Partner with engineering and Operations SMEs to validate solutions, define business rules, and drive adoption of new capabilities.
  • Contribute to innovation operating rhythms including sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and roadmap reviews.
  • Own initiative intake, evaluation, and business case development for affordability product investments.
  • Present roadmap recommendations and investment proposals to the Head of Innovation for prioritization and go/no-go decisions.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead high-performing product teams focused on affordability modernization and operational scalability.
  • Establish governance models that support platform consistency, operational quality, and configurable workflows.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and market-driven product development.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of leadership experience across product management, operational intelligence, healthcare data platforms, analytics, workflow systems, or life sciences technology.
  • Experience building or scaling operational intelligence platforms, workflow analytics systems, predictive models, or data-driven product ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare, life sciences, patient access, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, commercialization operations, or operational workflow platforms.
  • Demonstrated success translating complex operational workflows and fragmented data into scalable product capabilities.
  • Experience developing investment business cases, operational ROI models, and platform prioritization strategies.
  • Strong operational systems thinking and platform architecture expertise.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional product and operational transformation initiatives.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in HUB services, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement services, patient support programs, or commercialization infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with operational event models, interoperability ecosystems, APIs, MDM, workflow telemetry, and healthcare data governance.
  • Experience with coverage intelligence platforms, payer data products, or formulary data ecosystems.
  • Experience partnering with AI, automation, or orchestration platform organizations.
  • Experience evaluating external data partnerships, interoperability vendors, or ecosystem integrations such as Evernorth or MMIT.
  • Experience in SaaS, platform modernization, or services-to-product transformation environments.
  •

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will help Valeris:

  • Improve financial access outcomes across specialty patient journeys.
  • Modernize affordability workflows into scalable platform capabilities.
  • Reduce reimbursement friction and operational inefficiencies.
  • Create reusable affordability products that scale across programs and manufacturers.
  • Improve operational ROI through workflow optimization and automation.
  • Accelerate Valeris’ transformation into a platform-driven affordability organization.

Why This Role is Different

This is not a traditional product leadership role. You will join Valeris’ Innovation team—a dedicated, protected organization built to move with speed and purpose, free from the distractions of day-to-day operations.

You will help shape the future of patient affordability services by working directly with engineering and operations to redesign workflows and build the next generation of AI-enabled affordability capabilities. The goal is not simply to automate existing work—it is to create a more scalable, efficient, and effective operating model that improves outcomes for the patients and providers we serve.

n a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
